Geek. Gamer. Lawyer.
Lauren is a San Diego native and a California and Washington State licensed attorney. She has a wide base of experience in intellectual property law, including the likes of copyright law, trademarks, contract drafting (e.g. licensing, marketing, distribution, & service agreements), data privacy issues, and general business and cyber law. As a film production graduate with a creative writing minor from San Diego State University, she’s seen problems from both sides–the creative and the legal–and she strives to share her knowledge of intellectual property law by writing her educational blog, being a guest speaker at schools and events, as well as with the New Media Rights video series, LAGD (Legal Assistance for Game Developers).
